These two icons, located where the familiar LTE or Wi-Fi symbol typically are, mean that your iPhone is connected to your carrier’s EDGE or GPRS network. While you’re still technically connected to the internet, these two networks are much slower than 4G LTE — meaning that you’ll notice a difference in speed.
