The new iPhone 16 Models
It’s pretty much a given that Apple is planning on launching the new iPhone 16 lineup during its Glowtime event — and if you haven’t upgraded your iPhone in a while, this year might be worth it.
The most significant change to the iPhone is happening in the software department. The company will release Apple Intelligence, and we expect the full iPhone 16 lineup to support all the new features it brings, thanks to new A18 chips that all iPhone models will have.
Alongside the new chip, the new iPhones are rumored to come with 8GB of RAM — the minimum required to support Apple Intelligence and a welcome improvement compared to the 6GB in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
Besides the chip, the base iPhone 16 is rumored to feature a larger battery. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Plus might feature a smaller battery this year. Even if it’s not by much, it’s bad news for big iPhone lovers. Still, battery rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt.
The Action button, currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models, will be available on all of this year’s iPhones. What’s more, Apple plans to add a second button called the Capture button. This button will be on the right side of your iPhone, and as you can guess by its name, it’ll be a button that will let you quickly open the Camera app and take pictures in landscape mode.
Last but not least: colors. The iPhone 16 models are rumored to come in five different colors: blue, green, pink, white, and black.
