Apple Mixed Reality Headset
Apple’s working heavily on virtual and augmented reality, according to the leaks and rumors. In addition to a new pair of smart glasses, the company is also said to be working on a mixed-reality headset.
What’s mixed-reality, I hear you ask? Well, it’s a headset that’s going to feature both AR and VR. Rumor has it this headset will feature two high-resolution 8K displays, eye-tracking cameras and would feature a chip that’s even more powerful than the M1 processor found in 2020 Macs.
This headset is said to be able to detect other people standing behind and in front of virtual objects and map the surfaces and dimensions of any room more accurately than the current devices we have right now.
The good news is that this headset seems to be coming sooner than the Apple Glass. According to rumors, this device could be coming by the end of 2022. The bad news is that it may be more expensive than you think. Some reports say the headset could cost anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000.
