This one is a given at this point; we’re all sure that Apple will launch a brand new iPhone 17 lineup near the end of the year that’s better than last year’s iPhones but worse than next year’s.

That said, there might be a surprise for the iPhone 17 this year. Instead of having a regular iPhone 17 Plus, which tends to be the lowest-selling iPhone, Apple might introduce a new iPhone 17 “Air” model.

This new model will be the thinnest iPhone yet, rumored to be only 6mm thick. Besides its thin body, the iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 6.6-inch display, slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch current iPhone 16 Plus display, although it might only get a single-lens camera. On the inside, the iPhone 17 Air will feature the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17.

This iPhone Air is said to replace the iPhone Plus, which means it should cost around the same price as the current iPhone 16 Plus. 

For the iPhone 17 Pro models, it is rumored that Apple will change the camera design and might use both glass and titanium for the body.
