iOS 12 Officially Released: New Features, Compatible Devices and More
It’s official. iOS 12 is finally here! The software update, which was first unveiled at WWDC ’18, is now rolling out to the public as of Monday, Sept. 17.
First, iPhone and iPad owners should know iOS 12 isn’t as large of an update as iOS 11 was, in the sense that iOS 11 added a ton of new features and functionality. But it was also pretty buggy compared to all other official iOS releases in the past. This wasn’t great for Apple, their users or for their devices. On top of that iOS 12 does bring new and exciting features, especially for owners of iPhone X and up. But we’ll get to all of that later on in this article.
The update is free and available to all iOS users with compatible devices. With that in mind, here is everything you need to know about the next-generation version of Apple’s mobile operating system.
