Apple finally gave the iPod touch an update in 2019. They didn’t change a lot, but they did update the processor, added compatibility for the latest iOS and additional storage options. But if you’re on the fence about whether or not to buy one for yourself or a child, we have a better option for you. Just get an iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 is still an excellent music player and is overall a more useful device than the 2019 iPod touch – not to mention cheaper and faster. Outside of a few rare cases (a limited device for very young kids, an entertainment system controller, etc.), you’re better off just getting the iPhone 7.
