Apple Watch Can’t Make Calls
You can use your Apple Watch to call people without taking out your iPhone. With the help of Siri, you can call anyone in your contacts and talk to them right from your wrist! But sometimes that feature won’t work properly, so you’ll need to fix it for yourself.
The first step is to make sure both your Apple Watch and iPhone don’t need any software updates. If one isn’t updated, it’s possible that your Apple Watch won’t be able to make phone calls.
If that doesn’t work, try restarting your Apple Watch by doing the following:
- Press and hold the side button.
- Slide Power off to the right.
- Once your Apple Watch is turned off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.
If all that doesn’t work, you can try erasing your Apple Watch. Keep in mind, though, this will delete everything on your Apple Watch, and you’ll need to pair it again to your iPhone like a new device. Here’s how to do it.
Erase your Apple Watch from your iPhone.
- Go to the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap General.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Reset.
- Tap on Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings.
- Confirm that you want to erase your Apple Watch. You may need to enter your Apple ID Password.
Erase content and settings from your Apple Watch.
- Tap on the Digital Crown.
- Select the Settings icon.
- Tap on General.
- Scroll all the way down and tap on Reset.
- Tap on Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings and confirm that you want to erase your Apple Watch.
Afterward, pair up your Apple Watch again, and update the watchOS software if necessary.
