Newer iPhones Are a Lot Tougher Than You Think

If you have a newer iPhone, you don’t really need to worry that much about dropping it.

That’s because Apple introduced a new protection called Ceramic Shield. This basically means that the glass on the front of your iPhone is way tougher than it used to be.

Apple claims the Ceramic Shiled makes the iPhone up to four times more resistant than older iPhones. And many people have tested this claim. While we don’t know if it’s actually four times more resistant, there’s no doubt that modern iPhones are really tough to break.

So, if you have an iPhone 12 or newer model — excluding the iPhone SE — you don’t really need to worry about dropping your iPhone. You can use it without a case or screen protector, and you should be fine for the most part.
