Calculate a Tip with a Button Press
Ever wonder how much you should tip your waiter or waitress? Don't mess around with math. Simply open the Calculator app on the watch, type in your bill's total, then hit the tip button. The app will calculate a 20 percent tip and add that amount to your total so you'll know how much you should leave your server. Turn the Digital Crown to add people to split the bill with.
You Can Customize Your Workout Screen
If you use your Apple Watch to workout, you may want to customize the interface based on your exercise goals. Open the Watch app, find Workouts, and then Workout View. Here you can edit the metrics you can see and rearrange them according to your needs.
Scribble a Response
When you receive a text message, you can respond using an emoji or by dictating a reply, but did you know you can scribble out a response? When responding to a text message, tap on the icon with a hand, and the letter A. Draw out your letters, and they will show up as text.
Take a Screenshot
To capture the contents of the Apple Watch screen, press both the Digital Crown and the side button simultaneously. The photo will then be saved to your iPhone in the Photos album. If this fails, check to make sure screenshots are enabled. Go to iPhone > General. Then scroll down to find "Enable Screenshot" and ensure it is turned on.
Use and Customize the Dock
When you press the side button while wearing your Watch, it will open the Dock. The Dock shows your most recent apps, but you can change that behavior in the settings to open your favorite apps. Open the Watch app, select Dock, and change the setting from "Recents" to "Favorites."
