Space Marshals is one of the best picks if you want shooting with more strategy and personality. Granted, it’s not your typical shooting game, especially not when compared to other options on the list, but it’s still a top-notch experience you won’t regret buying. 

It’s a top-down tactical shooter set in a sci-fi western world, and it rewards careful movement, stealth, and smart weapon choices instead of just charging into every fight.

That slower, more deliberate style makes it feel very different from most mobile shooters. You’re not only shooting enemies; you’re planning how to approach them, using cover, picking weapons, and sometimes sneaking around instead of starting a firefight right away.

Not only that, but the game will give you rewards based on specific challenges, which means you might not want to shoot everything you see all the time. Sometimes, it might be better to just run to your objective and get the heck out of there. 

It’s also a great option if you prefer premium-style games over free-to-play systems, as Space Marshals feels more like a crafted action game than a live-service shooter. If you want something polished, stylish, with a decent story, and a little more thought put into it, this is one of the best shooting games for your iPhone.

While the developer has since released two sequels — Space Marshals 2 and Space Marshals 3 — the original remains a classic and is still the best place to start if you want to experience the full story and foundational mechanics with a slightly more open-ended feel. Once you’ve got that down, you can move on to Space Marshals 3 for the more modern graphics, refined stealth features, and a more polished tactical experience.
