This built-in iPhone app is perfect for both seniors and those of us who tend to forget our glasses all the time. Apple’s very own Magnifier app is probably the best magnifying glass you can have on your iPhone.

With this app, your iPhone’s camera turns into a magnifying glass, which helps you hear anything or understand what the object in front of you is.

You can zoom in and out as much as you want, and if you need a little help, the app can also help you detect whatever it is that’s in front of you.

If you have more severe sight problems, the Magnifier app comes with a Detection Mode. In this mode, it will recognize the object in front of you — whether it’s a door, furniture, text, or more — and then tell you what the object is, making it easier to navigate the world around you.
