4 Dual Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
According to a recent assessment by CNET, the iPhone 7 Plus’ glorious dual-lens camera system has just been given a serious run for its money. Why is that? Well, not only is the Note 8 Samsung’s first device to feature a dual-lens camera system like the iPhone 7 Plus, but Samsung’s personal choice in hardware vendor (itself, naturally) has provided the Note 8 with some remarkably powerful camera optics.
The Galaxy Note 8 is the first smartphone from any manufacturer to feature two camera modules with optical image stabilization (OIS) capabilities on board, making the device a dream for capturing crisp, low-light photos with maximum exposure.
Likewise, Samsung has amped up the Galaxy Note’s camera software this year to reflect such image-snapping prowess; including new Dual Capture and Live Focus modes to help users make the most of OIS. So while we’ll just have to wait and see what Apple delivers for the iPhone 8’s photography capabilities, Samsung has scored bragging rights (at least for the next few weeks.)
