Use Technology to Your Advantage
Generally speaking, using technology before going to bed will definitely worsen the quality of your sleep, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use it to your advantage.
For instance, if you have a smart home, you can create a shortcut on your iPhone or iPad when it’s almost bedtime. You can create a schedule to turn off your lights, change the room temperature, and start playing relaxing music.
If you don’t have that many smart home devices, you can still change the settings on your iPhone so apps like TikTok or Instagram are blocked after a specific time of day. You can also use specific apps to lock down your iPhone until the next day to help avoid the temptation to jump into apps that will hype you up rather than calm you down.
