WhatsApp is an app that needs no introduction. It’s one of the most popular instant messaging apps in the world, and now it’s available on your Mac as well.

Of course, you’ll still need to use your phone number. In fact, you’ll be using the same account you use on your iPhone. 

Instead of creating a separate account, this app basically connects your current Whatsapp to your Mac so you can chat more comfortably.

Once you connect your account to your Mac by using the QR code, you’ll be able to do anything you do on your iPhone. This means you can send and receive messages, share pictures or important files, and download anything someone shares with you and save it on your Mac.

Keep in mind, though, that while this is a great replacement, you’ll still need to use WhatsApp on your phone at least once every 14 days, or the Whatsapp app will log you out of your Mac for security purposes.
