Apple’s new AirPods Pro will likely be one of the top gifts this holiday season. But if you’re looking to buy a pair, you may need to act fast or look somewhere other than Apple itself.

As of the writing of this article, delivery estimates for the new Bluetooth wireless headphones have slipped past Christmas. So if you need a pair (or several) before Dec. 25, here’s what you should do.

Brick-and-Mortar Locations

While the online Apple Store is running low on AirPods Pro units, you may have better luck trying a brick-and-mortar Apple Store location. There’s a good chance that some Apple Stores still have availability.

Better yet, you can save yourself a trip to the actual Apple Store by using Apple’s in-store pickup option on its website.

If they have stock available, we recommend placing an order for in-store pickup. That way, your AirPods Pro will be held until you have time to actually retrieve them from the Apple Store.

In any case, it’s also worth checking local Apple retail locations periodically this holiday season. Even if a specific store is out of stock currently, they may get new shipments between now and Christmas.

Third-Party Retailers

There are plenty of third-party retailers that also offer AirPods Pro. Unfortunately, stock varies wildly between all of them — so you’ll just have to check each retailer to see if they have any available.

AirPods Pro are currently in-stock on Amazon, for example, with orders arriving by Dec. 9. As an added bonus, Amazon is discounting AirPods Pro by about $14.

Currently, retailers like Walmart, Target and Best Buy offer AirPods Pro with shipping estimates in early December — by Dec. 2, as of the writing of this piece.

Members-only stores like Costco and Sam’s Club may also offer good alternatives. Both sell AirPods Pro online but require a membership to buy them.

You may also have luck with other online-only retail outlets, such as B&H Photo. That specific retailer still has AirPods Pro in-stock and also offers free shipping on orders.

Lastly, your own carrier may be an great resource for nabbing AIrPods Pro. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile all have AirPods Pro in stock at their physical retail locations. Currently, they also offer shipping by the first week of December.

What About Regular AirPods?

Much of the above advice will also apply to Apple’s standard second-generation AirPods, with a few differences.

Notably, standard AirPods are still available from Apple’s website. The Cupertino tech giant currently lists delivery estimates at the end of this week or early next week — which suggests that they still have comfortable stock at this point.

Third-party retailers also have AirPods available. Amazon, for example, may be an excellent choice, since they currently have the second-generation AirPods with Charging Case for as low as $134.

That being said, you’ll still want to order sooner than later. There’s no guarantee that stock of AirPods will remain abundant after Thanksgiving on November 28.
