FAQ | Is There the Slightest Chance Apple Will Release an iPhone 14 mini?

No. It is literally impossible that Apple is launching a mini version in the iPhone 14 lineup. Apple will launch a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The reason is simple: the iPhone 12 mini did not sell very well, and even though the iPhone 13 mini did better, sales are still behind Apple’s standards. That’s the main reason why Apple does not plan to sell another model like it in the near future.

I am not saying it will not come back eventually; I am just saying it will not be soon.

I used the iPhone 12 mini for a while, and I have to say that while I liked the size and ease of portability, the notch felt huge, and the battery life was not good at all. It didn’t last a full day no matter how little I used it.

I would not recommend the iPhone 12 mini to anyone, and I think that’s partly why Apple is not even considering re-releasing this model.

Sources related to the matter suggest that Apple plans to replace this market segment in 2024 with a new iPhone SE. According to these people, this iPhone SE would come in an iPhone XR housing, and even if the size is not the same, the price would be very attractive for many people who would have otherwise bought a mini.

We will have to wait and see, but for now, you can forget about a mini iPhone. I hate to be that guy, but sometimes I have to give you bad news, and believe me when I say I do not like this part of my job.
