After 10 Years, Woman Finally Finds Her Lost iPhone Inside Her Toilet (Seriously)

What’s the longest time that’s passed before you found your iPhone? A few minutes? An hour? A whole week? No matter how much time it took, you probably couldn’t beat Becki Beckmann, who lost her iPhone 10 years ago. What’s even more impressive, she finally found it in the strangest of places: her toilet.

According to The New York Post, Becki recalls how she lost her iPhone way back on the night of Halloween, 2012. Since Becki hasn’t been in a place where it could be stolen, she was pretty confused as to what happened to her iPhone.

But, as all of us would do, she just replaced her iPhone and moved on. But it wasn’t until almost a decade later that Becki and her husband started to have problems with their toilet.

The couple started to hear banging sounds whenever they’d flush.

Becki said that “initially we blamed it on the toilet being old or the house construction being terrible.” But then her husband decided to “plunge the [expletive] out of it.”

And when he did, he found something he would never expect to find in a place like that: an iPhone. But not just any iPhone –– Becki’s lost iPhone from 2012.

The pictures Becki shared show an iPhone with an open back but in pretty good condition — especially considering that the iPhone’s been in the toilet pipe for almost ten years.

When she shared her story on Facebook, her post became popular, and a lot of people shared that their iPhone would break if they “look at it funny, while [Becki] can literally [expletive] on [hers] for years and it’s perfect.”

There’s no doubt that this is a one-of-a-kind event, but it’s something even Apple could use to show how durable the iPhone really is.

One thing’s for sure, though, when it comes to finding your lost iPhone, later is always better than never, albeit ten years might be a bit too long.
