To set this up on your iPhone and Mac, simply sign in with your Apple ID (on both devices), then go to Settings > Messages, and then enable iMessage on your iPhone. Finally, select Send & Receive. **Keep in mind: be sure that your Apple ID is set up correctly on both your iPhone and Mac, and that, when you go to start a new conversation, you select your phone number as the sender — if that’s how you want it to appear in your recipient’s inbox.**
