iPhone 6s Rumors

As we reported earlier this week, there is a good possibility that Apple is slated to release the iPhone 6S in the spring of next year, possibly coinciding with the release of the much-anticipated Apple Watch (possibly followed by the release of the iPhone 7 in their annual September release slot).

If these rumors are true, there is no shortage of speculation as to what exactly the 6S might look like. While it’s unlikely that the design would change very much, some rumors suggest that the new iPhone may have a display that wraps around the edge of the phone, similar to the Galaxy Note Edge. These rumors are inspired by an Apple patent describing “sidewall displays.”

There are also rumors describing an incredible jump in the iPhone’s camera quality – although it’s unlikely that we will see this by next spring.

Rumors of an iPhone 6C release with the iPhone 6S are circulating the internet, as well, possibly due to the rumored imminent discontinuation of the 5C model. While the iPhone 6’s 4.7-inch phone has been a smashing success, there is still a demand for Apple to continue releasing a 4-inch model. Some reports insinuate that the 6C may fill this demand. As always, these are all simply rumors, and should be taken with a grain of salt. The speculation is always exciting, however, and we’re sure to be hearing more rumors surrounding an iPhone 6S (and possibly 6C) in the coming months.
