Here Are 3 of the Internet’s Most Beautiful iPhone 8 Concepts

The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus may have just been released to warm reception, but that has done little to dim the anticipation and excitement surrounding the iPhone 8. Rumor has it that Apple has something big in store for the next iteration of its flagship phone, which is due to come out on the tenth anniversary of the original iPhone’s debut.

While it’s way too early to know anything for sure, some enterprising and imaginative Apple fanatics have hazarded guesses as to what the iPhone 8 may look like. Here are three of our favorites.

1. Rimless OLED Display

The Youtube channel ConceptsiPhone has created a trailer for their iPhone 8 concept, which features a rimless, edge-to-edge OLED display and a sapphire crystal back in place of aluminum (similar to the iPhone 4). The result feels both familiar and fresh at the same time, as if the iPhone 4 had been resurrected seven years after its 2010 debut.

2. Reduced Forehead and Chin

Designer Veniamin Geskin has posted renders on Twitter imagining an iPhone 8 with a significantly reduced forehead and chin. The home button is noticeably absent, in keeping with rumors that Apple is working to embed the button and Touch ID scanner into the display itself. The model is physically smaller than the iPhone 6 but feels larger.

It features a larger, curved glass display that fades into the edges rather than ending abruptly at the side bezels (a la Samsung Edge 7). The edge-to-edge display and the absence of a home button make for a sleek, muted, and no-frills futuristic look.

3. Free Form Display with Embedded Home Button

Geskin takes the “no home button” concept even further and to its logical conclusion with this free-form iPhone 8 render. He does away with the chin entirely and leaves just enough of a forehead for the selfie-cam. The home button and Touch ID are again embedded under the display. The curved glass display is also back, but without the side and bottom bezels, it just floats there. The resulting iPhone 8 looks and feels liberated– all screen, no boundaries.
