Why You Shouldn’t Download iOS 8.4.1

Some people are metaphorically jumping for joy because Apple has released an undoubtedly necessary update to the buggy music application. The update fixes a number of substantial issues that plagued Apple’s Music software. One of the biggest fixes addresses an issue that would prevent some users from gaining access to their iCloud Music library entirely.

These are the bug fixes iOS 8.4.1 will solve for Apple Music users.

Plenty of people have complained about the difficult-to-use Music application, which was vastly different than its streamlined predecessor. All of the new features were bound to cause some confusion, but hopefully many of the application’s downfalls will be addressed in the update.

This is great news for Apple Music users! But what if you don’t use Apple Music? The truth is the new update doesn’t address any iOS issues other than the ones associated with the Music application. In other words, if you don’t use Apple Music, don’t waste your time downloading and installing the new update.

Expect more changes and improvements to Apple Music, and an operating system overhaul when iOS 9 is released this fall.
