How to Install and Uninstall Web Of Trust (WOT) for Safari on Mac

Despite its questionable history, we still consider WOT (Web of Trust) a safe extension. As a first line of defense against poor reputation websites that are known to spread malware, show excessive pop-ups, or spread misleading information, WOT does a great job notifying users when they attempt to access such malicious parts of the web. Since the WOT app was pulled from the App Store, you’ll have to follow these steps to install WOT as a Safari browser extension.

Install WOT for Safari on Mac

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Click on Safari in the top navigation bar.

  3. Select “Safari Extensions” and you’ll be redirected.

  4. Scroll down to find the search box.

  5. Type “WOT” (FYI, Web of Trust will not find the extension).

  6. Select “Install Now” and you’re done. But don’t forget to rate us!
