Even though Apple has already made the IOS experience really easy to use. Here are some things that I do personally to make the experience a lot better.
- Use folders. Folders are nice to organize your apps and other content, makes it easier to find the app that you are looking for.
- Using Siri. Using Siri to look up things, such as music, history, or just plain web searches. Siri has been smarter throughout IOS updates and keep getting smarter as Apple updates the system, its a great way to get information.
- Using the “optimize storage” feature for the music app. I really like this one, because I have a lot of music that I don’t regularly listen to, and the music app recognizes that and deletes the music automatically. To enable go to Settings>Music>Optimize Storage. There you can pick None, 8Gb, 16Gb, 32Gb and 64Gb. I personally have 32GB set for my music storage on my 128GB iPhone 7 plus. It saves lots of space on your phone as well 🙂
- Using iCloud Photo Library. So this is nice for your device, if you don’t have any space to take another picture. Instead backing up your photos to your hard drive on your phone you can enable this feature to save into your iCloud account(if space available). Just go to Settings>Photos & Camera> toggle on iCloud photo Library. This will automatically upload your pictures to the icloud server or your account to save space on your phone.
There is many more things you can do to make your experience even better. But those are the few that I do, to save time and space.
