Over the years we’ve witnessed a number of ultra-luxury Apple devices hit the market, with some brands going to rather impressive lengths to offer the ultra-rich a truly one-of-a-kind iPhone or Apple Watch to call their own.

Generally, these are Apple’s latest flagship gadgets which have been purchased and modified by vendors who strip and outfit them with any of a variety of ultra high-end finishes. From solid 14- or 18-Karat Gold, to high-clarity diamond encrustations, colorful precious gemstones, and even rare Earth metals like platinum, tungsten and more.

Of course, these flashy devices cost considerably in excess of Apple’s MSRP, with prices running well up into the tens-of-thousands of dollars, or more for some of the one-unit-only productions.

Even Apple has built ultra-luxury devices to tap into this market, like its original $10,000 Gold Apple Watch Edition — making it abundantly clear that there is, in fact, a ripe market for ultra-luxurious devices.

Brikk Watch

While Apple’s Watch Edition was discontinued a few generations-ago, those with deep pockets will be glad to know that companies like Brikk, with their ultra-luxury Watch models, are still making moves today.

The company this week announced its upcoming Lux Watch 4 Collection, which will feature the Apple Watch Series 4 adorned in an assortment of metals and precious stones.

According to Brikk, its Lux Watch 4 is the byproduct of “five years of research and development” — which is, ironically, even longer than Apple Watch itself has been on the market..

Still, the firm is offering 44mm variants of the Apple Watch S4, which features a “151-degree bevelled edge,” and is available in several finish options including ceramic, carbon, titanium, and 18K gold.

Among the offerings will be Lux Watch 4 featured in solid 18K white, rose, or yellow gold, which comes with a complementary “shiny alligator strap” to match.

This “basic model” can be yours for a whopping $28,995, with a solid gold “bevelled module bracelet” accessory available, but bringing the price up to $58,995.

Other configurations in the Lux Watch 4 collection run as high as $228,995, according the company’s website — but the buck doesn’t stop there!

“BRIKK HAS 12 DIFFERENT GRADES OF DIAMONDS AVAILABLE INCLUDING RARE BLUE AND VIOLET VARIETIES,” the firm says, placing emphasis on the CapsLock while adding that “ADDITIONAL SPECIMENS SUCH AS RED EMERALD ARE ALSO AVAILABLE WHICH FETCH A COMPLETED WATCH IN THE MILLIONS RANGE.”

Yep. An Apple Watch Series 4, so tastefully and exquisitely adorned, will cost upwards of a million dollars!

And if that’s not absurdity in a nutshell, consider that the Apple Watch Series 4, just like other Apple Watch models before it, will probably join the company’s vintage and obsolete devices registry just a few short years from now.

Luckily, Brikk says it’s only accepting orders from current customers right now, and those should begin rolling-out over the next few months starting in November.
