How to Stack Your iPhone’s Notifications in iOS 12

iOS 12 brought many new features and enhancements to iPhone and iPad, including Screen Time to help manage your time using apps, new Animoji and Memoji, ARKit 2 and much more.
One small improvement that actually made a big splash, considering it had been highly-requested by users, is stacked notifications (officially known as Grouped Notifications), which can help clean up your Lock Screen and Notification Center by grouping app alerts.
Stacked notifications in iOS 12 make your iPhone’s alerts feel more organized and the feature is a wonderful improvement to iOS overall.
If you’ve upgraded to iOS 12 but your grouped notifications aren’t working, there’s a simple solution to solve the issue. Here’s how to stack your iPhone’s notifications in iOS 12.
How to Stack (Group) Notifications in iOS 12
Open the Settings app.
Tap Notifications.
Find the app that you’d like to have stacked notifications, then tap it.
Find Notification Grouping and tap it.
You might see that Notification Grouping is set to Automatic or Off. Select “By App” instead.
Go back and repeat the previous steps for each app you’d like to have grouped notifications.
Notifications are now stacked for your selected apps. You can head back to your Lock Screen or Notification Center to browse through the grouped notifications by giving the stack a tap.
Clear the notifications with the large X button, or browse other stacked notifications by tapping the Show Less button.
