Earlier this week, “leaked” photos surfaced that purportedly show renders of the upcoming iPhone 7. French site NoWhereElse released the photos, claiming that they were obtained from Apple supplier Catcher technology. The photos allegedy showed the rear housing of an iPhone 7, with a larger camera and the “antenna lines” moved to run alongside the curve on the top and bottom of the device.

While those photos have yet to be verified as authentic, several more leaked photos have recently hit the web, this time allegedly showing the dual camera module that is rumored for the iPhone 7 Pro, as well as a photo of the iPhone 7 Pro device itself.

Yesterday morning, Taiwanese site Apple.club.tw released images that they claim depict the dual camera module that is rumored for certain models of the upcoming iPhone 7 – a 5.5 inch iPhone 7 Pro model. The photos, which were also shared by NoWhereElse this past Sunday, shows a camera module with two lenses, as well as two cables which would attach the module to the iPhone 7’s logic board. As NoWhereElse has pointed out, the module is labeled with a part number of “821”, which can also be found on the camera modules for the rear camera on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

This does little to confirm if the parts are specifically bound for an Apple device, or even if the photos are authentic, but as MacRumors points out, almost identical images have recently appeared on Chinese social networking site Weibo, as well.

Just this morning, another photo popped up on Chinese website Bastille Post, this time depicting what appears to be an iPhone 7 Pro device. The photo clearly depicts an iPhone device with a dual-lens camera module, and the antenna lines moved to the top and bottom of the phone, as was depicted in the leaked renders.

The device in the photo also displays three dots near the bottom of the rear housing, stoking rumors that the new device may feature a Smart Connector. The Smart Connector, introduced with the iPad Pro last year, can transmit both power and data, and is used to connect accessories to the device. The addition of a dual-lens camera as well as Smart Connector port would both be exciting news, if true – however, the photo clearly shows that the camera still protrudes from the device, which would be disappointing news for the thousands of users that have been complaining about the “camera bump” on recent iPhone devices.

The authenticity of each of these leaked photos has yet to be confirmed. The iPhone 7 is expected to be announced this coming September. Not much is known yet about the device, but there are plenty of rumors that it will feature an upgraded processor and thinner design due to the lack of a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.

Rumor has it that the iPhone 7 will come in three models – the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, as well as a new 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Pro, which will allegedly feature the dual-lens camera system that the leaked photos purportedly showcase.
