As of today, you can purchase a 12-month Apple Music gift card for just $99 at select Apple retail stores. That works out to a low rate of $8.25 a month, 18% cheaper than the standard rate of $9.99 a month or approximately $120 per year. Or, it works out to two free months of Apple Music a year, if you prefer to look at it that way.

The Apple Music gift cards are not available on Apple’s online store or through the subscription setting on iOS — only at certain brick-and-mortar retail stores.

This may be a ploy to drive more foot traffic to retail stores during the upcoming holiday shopping season, according to 9to5Mac, though the gift cards are available for online purchasing on eBay and Walmart’s e-store.

This isn’t the only way to snag a discount for Apple Music subscriptions. If you’re a student, you are already eligible for a hefty 50% discount. The family plan allows multiple users (up to 6 in total) to share a $15 per month plan which works out to as low as $2.50 per person

With iOS 10’s improvements, a revamped Music app, and the latest generation of iPhones due to hit stores, it may be an ideal time to check out and seriously consider an Apple Music membership.
