Sony Xperia XA Ultra Hits the U.S. Market

On July 27, Sony began retailing its unlocked Xperia XA Ultra in American stores and retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H. According to PhoneArena, this debut follows just one week after Sony also began selling its Xperia XA and Xperia X Performance handsets stateside.
It’s priced at $369.99 and comes bundled with a 64GB microSD card, which should go a long way in offsetting the relatively meager 16GB of internal storage the Xperia XA Ultra has.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-equipped phone is rather large, coming with a 6-inch 1080p display and an 8-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. Its rear camera is relatively powerful at 21MP and it also comes strapped with an 18MP front camera. PhoneArena also reports that the phone comes with 3GB of RAM and a 2700 mAh battery and is only compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.
All in all, it’s a massively underwhelming phone as its other Sony Xperia brethren have proven to be. A review by The Inquirer found that beyond the sleek-looking chassis, few of the choices Sony had made much sense, ranging from baffling button placement to a weak battery and dim display.
